Service Description: Service Description: Indiana’s 2016-2020 hydro-flattened bare-earth Digital Elevation Model (DEM) data is derived from statewide QL2 Lidar Point Cloud data that follows the USGS 3DEP standards. This DEM, also known as a Digital Terrain Model (DTM), has an original pixel resolution (OPR) of 2.5 feet for 89 of 92 Indiana Counties funded by the USDA through the USGS BAA program. The three (3) remaining Indiana counties also participated in the USGS BAA 3DEP program through a partnership with IGIC. The OPR DEM data for these counties ranged from a 1-foot to 1-meter pixel size, depending on each county’s preference. But regardless of the OPR DEM pixel size that was published, all of Indiana’s 2016-2020 QL2 data meets the same 10 cm vertical and positional accuracy standards established by the USGS 3DEP program.
